Our key areas of general dentistry
Our dental practice covers the full spectrum of modern dentistry — with a special focus on tooth preservation, biocompatible full-mouth rehabilitation, and age-appropriate care. Below are four central areas that we tailor individually to your needs.
Removal of wisdom teeth
If inflammation or discomfort is present or likely to occur, or if removal is necessary for orthodontic reasons. In most cases, wisdom teeth are difficult to reach with a toothbrush, which makes them prone to cavities or periodontitis, often accompanied by bad breath. A dental status without wisdom teeth is generally easier to maintain and causes fewer problems. We recommend preserving wisdom teeth only if their function and proper oral hygiene can be reliably ensured.
Apicoectomy (root-end resection)
If root-canal-treated teeth show cystic or granulomatous signs of acute or chronic inflammation but are to be preserved, the root tip along with the inflamed tissue is removed and the root canal is sealed retrogradely (from the root end).
Bone augmentation, sinus lift
If the jawbone needs to be rebuilt before or during implant placement using the patient’s own bone (autogenous graft) or bone substitute material (e.g. Bio-Oss). In the case of a sinus lift, the jawbone in the posterior region of the upper jaw is augmented by elevating the floor of the maxillary sinus.
Periodontal surgical procedures
If, in cases of periodontitis, it is necessary to open the gum as a supportive measure in order to remove inflamed tissue and deposits (tartar) under direct vision (open curettage) or to eliminate periodontal pockets.
Aesthetic gingival surgery
If the gum tissue has been partially or generally lost and the teeth (tooth necks) appear elongated (e.g. due to brushing trauma), it can be repositioned through microsurgical correction or increased again using a connective tissue graft.
